Good move by SG to make a pointed effort to pretty much take back the 'warning' previously given to the players.

 

Looks like Eros starts on Sunday. He reminds me a bit of a greyhound, not a spare ounce on him.

Let's hope it means sharpness on the field, we could do with him making a real impact.

Grezda speaks good English, which is helpful.  

 

Gerrard is good at press conferences but I'm detecting a less enthusiastic demeanour than there was earlier in the season (understandably).

SG is pretty correct in his EL assessment. Last season, while we did not Proges(s), the nigh exact Spartak side hammered Sevilla 5-1. We've been unbeaten in what, 11 of 12 games, including games against teams from Eastern Europe who regularly kicked much better Rangers teams out in years gone by.

 

We might have done even better, be it at home against Spartak, or away. But likewise we should not be too disappointed if we don't.

 

As our German admin uses to say: "As much as I enjoy the EL, I do hope we go out on a high pretty soon. Our squad is thin, the games start to pile up (just look at list of the December games) and we need to win games in the Premiership, not Europe."
