der Berliner 3,803
Oh noooo, it is him ... and he's got a reason (and rather strange friends) Quote Jason Cummings wrecked his own flat over split from girlfriend reveals Peterborough boss Former Rangers and Hibs striker was filmed throwing a TV through a window in a stream of bizarre videos. Peterborough United boss Steve Evans has revealed Jason Cummings trashing his own flat was sparked by a split from his girlfriend. The former Hibs and Rangers striker was filmed throwing a TV through a window in a stream of bizarre Snapchat videos. One clip was captioned "smashing up his own gaff" as the 23-year-old, apparently under the influence of alcohol, set about wrecking the property. Cummings has enjoyed a strong start to life at Peterborough on-loan from Nottingham Forest, but boss Evans decided to come out and explain the incident on talkSPORT after it swept social media on Sunday. He confirmed the matter had been dealt with internally and that Cummings had accepted an undisclosed punishment. He said: "My own view is that it's quite upsetting, but when you know the bigger picture - and we know the bigger picture because we're inside the football club. "The kid has just gone through a difficult splitting up from a girlfriend, from a partner. "When everyone who then goes and has a couple of beers, when they shouldn't do, and gets emotionally upset then sometimes you do things you obviously regret. "Having been with Jason and having spoken to him there's no doubt that's the situation here. "He'll get internally disciplined as you'd expect, but at the same time he'll get all our support and love for a difficult situation at this time in his life. "As a football club led by our chairman, we made it clear to Jason last night and this morning that we're here to support him but we expect a better code of conduct, we expect better discipline. "But we're still here to support our personnel - our staff and our players - when difficult times arrive. "We're flying high at the top of the league so it's good times for us. But we'd be supporting him if we were bottom of the league, that's our job." The Snapchat account the video appeared on was under the same name as a defender for the League One club - Josh Yerworth. It's unconfirmed if Yerworth was behind the camera but Evans admitted lessons must be learned within his squad over the episode. He added: "It's never wise to film things, then perhaps under the influence of alcohol you do things that are a bit silly. "I'm sure there's regrets on that front as well but we'll deal with that as best as we possibly can. "That side will be a bit more about education and we've got people better qualified in our football club to educate young men on certain situations and this is obviously one of them. "From our point of view, the issue happened late on Saturday or the early hours of Sunday, the best thing we would say is its gone past us, they'll take their punishment. "Jason has already confirmed he'll take the punishment the chairman laid out, the book closes and we'll move on. "We train this morning and we focus on getting ready for next Saturday." https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jason-cummings-wrecked-flat-over-13219966

Gonzo79 15,299
A young lad letting off steam after getting dumped is completely normal. He'll be fine. He's always been a bit of a daftie. Edited September 10, 2018 by Gonzo79
MacK1950 2,399
Nothing normal in that film with his hooligan actions and allowing himself to be filmed if that is normality "what the f**k".
Gonzo79 15,299
He was quite clearly drunk. Is hooliganism even possible in your own house?

Gonzo79 15,299
Depends on your perspective, I suppose. How do you know him and his pal weren't pishing themselves laughing 2 minutes after it was recorded? Guy in his early 20s (who earns a few grand a week) gets dumped, gets drunk and flings his TV at the window. I take it you've seen the video of him wresting in his y-fronts and have heard about the parties he went to in Edinburgh. The lad is a bit bonkers. I realise football messageboards are very pious places these days but still... Edited September 10, 2018 by Gonzo79
