Another £13M Celtc player

Recommended Posts

Is this guy that good?

The Scottish side are determined to hold on to the 22-year-old midfielder but will have to hold off interest from the Portuguese side

Celtic have rejected an offer for Olivier Ntcham from Porto worth more than £13 million ($17m), Goal understands.

The Scottish side are determined to hold on to the 22-year-old midfielder, who joined from Manchester City for around £4.5m last year.

However, the Portuguese side are expected to return for the France Under 21 international after being knocked back in their initial attempts to sign him.

File under more lies from Celtic.

I do think it’s funny that the cycle is coming to an end though and these foreign players are starting to believe their lies and are now downing tools (see £8m, last 12 months of his contract man, Boyata).

Porto are a team who tend to sell players on to bigger leagues at 20M+.

Ntcham is a decent player and one of the few buys Rodgers and his staff have got right and is now worth a few quid. However, they haven't made the CL and Celtic aren't in as good a negotiating position.

The other important factor is if the player wants to leave or not. Again lack of CL is a factor as will be more money...so my guess is he will.

If the bid of 13M by Porto is fact, I doubt they'd want to go much higher as they look at players to sell for profit further down line.

This is a fishing exercise by the usual Celtic-friendly media to try and boost this guy's value.

Does anyone really think that he's worth £13 million and that Rodgers has improved him by a factor of three since he's been at the Piggery?

The hole in the finances is hopefully a lot bigger than anyone thinks.

It's often to spin a line to their own support,

ie. Don't look at the signings we didn't get but look at the players we managed to keep worth XXM.

However, it usually somes with high speculation rather than firm bids. I see the source in the OP is 'Goal', which isn't worth shit tbh.

That said, their support isn't in the mood for this type of spin and it would most probably rebound on the board. Their support want to see the biscuit tin opened and money going out the way and not on disco lights.

Seems ok. I certainty would buy rogic long before him.

It seems clear celtc need to sell big and soon.

Rogic puts in a decent shift for 60mins, or so. Does he ever actually play beyond that?

Your not the only one that thinks that regarding their finances. Something isn’t right there and there will be a lot of sweaty arses at the piggery. They are hiding something that’s for sure.
