I watched it, Athens had a lot more possession than that. Plus look at it. They had 0 shots on target yet scored 2 goals?  How does that work? The BBC stats are messed up too. They have Athens with 67% possession and the yahoos on 33%.

 

Plus they have 0 fouls for both and 0 corners for both.  Both had corners and both had fouls. Broonaldo and a couple of Greeks were booked.

In my day the only statistic that counted was goals  as long as you scored one more than the other lot that would do fine .

Whilst this season is about us improving and not to worry too much about what happens at Celtic, last night was a notable boot in the baws for the Balance Sheet Champions.

 

It's just a shame they didn't have a difficult league game coming up this weekend.

Ceptics possession stats are normally quite high....they spend large parts of the game simply passing it between their back-4 & sitting midfielders, all well within their own half.  The opposition are rarely anywhere near them, as there's no point chasing the ball about & wasting energy.

I was on my phone last night so never saw that bottom stat - only saw it just now when at work, and it was the first thing I noticed..... aye, that would be pretty tough  

 

I think you need to be more specific in future GS, instead of just throwing out one liners and expecting everyone to know what you are talking about.

Exactly.  Possession stats mean very little these days.  It is all about the areas in which you have that possession that matters.
