Laudbertz 0
Has been ordered to pay Hearts 625k for breach of contract in joining Wigan. Just saw it as breaking news on Sky Sports News.
buba3d 0
Why when he found a loophole in his contract.
fraser54 0
Wigan will pay that fine for him and then we will snatch him up for that price
ascender 352
That's pretty much as expected, hopefully a deal can be sorted for him to join us pretty soon.
ascender 352
And a two game ban for the start of next season. Not so good.
craig 5,199
That is still a crock of shit. He found a UEFA loophole, used it and still gets punished - UEFA is a kangaroo court !
ascender 352
Looks like UEFA are saying he basically walked out on his club, loophole or not, without giving appropriate notice.
stewarty 2,069
Fraser Wishart on Radio Snyde said that he got the ban because of FIFA's interpretation of when the loophole could be used. You have 15 days from the last game of the season in order to invoke this ruling. Webster did so 15 days after the Scottish Cup Final however this was 19 days after their last league game. Very petty indeed to see him banned but it sets a precedent for further instances of this. I wonder who may try this at the end of this season? He also mentioned that the 'breach of contract without due cause' is only legal rhetoric and does not mean that Webster was not able to take advantage of this loophole.

Is it 15 days after last game or last league game ? If last game then an appeal could be lodged.
