Cambridge Rules of 1848 and subsequently, the FA (1870's? too lazy) gave us the start of the modern game. They wrote the book on it...to them go the honor. It’s still not called English football.

So I'll give you this instead... cheers Don't worry, I found it and found out why you didn't want to post a link to it. ie. any detail showed up the headline for the non-story it was.

Did I say I didn't want to post it? Anyway, I'm glad you managed to find it all by yourself sweetheart. It's also good to see you get such pleasure from being a forum monitor. If it was up to me I'd make you an admin for sure ... and give you a big shiny badge to polish every day.
Gonzo79 15,293
I've already kicked several dustbins and cats in response to that non-story headline. I wonder what the next World Cup 'hate crime' will be? Grrrrrr.
Rousseau 10,607
France are rubbish. I've never been so bored -- and I prefer the boring tactical battles.

Usually it's the deflection followed by the GIF #2in1 Consistent part is nothing substansive about what I said about the propandistic headline you posted, but then that's hardly surprising as you know you were presenting a turd that can't be polished. I wasn't looking for excitement, simply an interesting battle. Hopefully. I think Argentina have to have a go, potentially giving excitement. Croatia-Iceland should provide me with a good tactical battle.
buster. 5,186
Just now, Rousseau said: I wasn't looking for excitement, simply an interesting battle. Hopefully. Apart from the cliffhanger aspect to it I think the African v South American duel generally tends to throw up less tacticl shit and more going for the game. I remember a Nigeria v Argentina WC game from the 90's that was immense entertainment with Fernando Redondo dominanting the midfield.
