Franc Ergs 1,707
Didn't get fans vote but instead this. "It also proved to be a memorable night for goalkeepers as the Player of the Year award - selected by Head Coach Nigel Adkins - went to Allan McGregor, with the Scot's fellow custodian Charlie Andrew named Academy Player of the Year".
Rousseau 10,823
I think McGregor is the far superior shot-stopper. Commanding a box? I don't recall McG being particularly good at that, and Wes has been rather good at that this season. Distribution? I'd say Wes is better, but I'm not sure McG has ever needed to play that way. It can be drilled in. McG is better at game management. Wes can make very good saves, it's the silly, easy shots that seem to slip under him. McG is more consistent in that sense. Good signing.
Blue Moon 1,362
I don't rate Wes very highly. I can't recall many saves that made me say "wow". He terrifies me with the ball at his feet and I don't think he commands his area well enough. From what I remember of McGregor he was a much better all round keeper and I agree that if he hasn't lost much will be worth about 10 points a season to us.
Gonzo79 15,299
McGregor has pulled out of the Scotland squad for the forthcoming friendlies. Good.

Wes is excellent with the ball at his feet and his distribution very good, everything that McGregor isn't with the ball at his feet! all McGregor does with the ball his punt it long! unless he has changed??

Gonzo79 15,299
I think Wes is good with the ball at his feet but the way he does it can be quite nerve-wracking and he has had a couple of howlers (Ayr away springs to mind). So, Ian and BM are both kind of right.
