BEARGER 1,830
Seems to be an awful lot of positivity being generated by SG arrival, may as well make him feel at home. You'll Never Walk Alone Gerry and the Pacemakers When you walk through a stormHold your head up highAnd don't be afraid of the dark At the end of a stormThere's a golden skyAnd the sweet silver song of a lark Walk on through the windWalk on through the rainThough your dreams be tossed and blown Walk on, walk onWith hope in your heartAnd you'll never walk alone You'll never walk alone Walk on, walk onWith hope in your heartAnd you'll never walk alone You'll never walk alone Songwriters: Oscar Hammerstein Ii / Richard Rodgers You'll Never Walk Alone lyrics © Imagem Music Inc Edited May 4, 2018 by BEARGER

26th of foot 6,082
It's a long time since I viewed the musical, 'Carousel', is it not a song about suicide?
Uilleam 5,940
As I said on Wednesday: Maudlin garbage. It is from the musical Carousel, by Rogers (no relation) and Hammerstein, and Wiki summarises nicely: "In the second act, Nettie Fowler, the cousin of the protagonist Julie Jordan, sings "You'll Never Walk Alone" to comfort and encourage Julie when her husband, Billy Bigelow, the male lead, commits suicide after a failed robbery attempt. It is reprised in the final scene to encourage a graduation class of which Louise (Billy and Julie's daughter) is a member. The now invisible Billy, who has been granted the chance to return to Earth for one day in order to redeem himself, watches the ceremony and is able to silently motivate the unhappy Louise to join in the song." I I rc, the character Julie is also pregnant at the time of the suicide. Football songs; bloody Hell.
pete 2,499
I for one would love us singing it on his first game. Kerrydale street would be in meltdown.

"though your dreams be tossed and blown". I don't think there is any requirement for any Bear to run interference on the Screaming Shill's commitment to his cause?
