Uilleam 6,344
I submit that it is, if not foolish, at best imprudent, to dismiss a player merely on account of his ethnic background.

You were right the first time. It'd be sensible/prudent to consider circumstances of International players that come from the other side of the world given what that would mean regards air miles on various occasions throughout a season. But last time I saw Albania was in Europe.
Popular Post Bill 13,717
Who cares where a player comes from, what his nationality, colour or religion is? I only care whether or not he is available at a reasonable price and has the skills and commitment to make a positive contribution to Rangers.
DMAA 3,742
Also reports that we've made an offer of a "subtantial loan fee" to secure Worrell, but NF not sure they want him to play up here. Really hope we don't spend too much money on loan fees, much rather spend the money on permanent transfers because you've got an asset to develop and sell on (which seemed to be the idea with Cooper).
trublusince1982 243
NF not sure if they want him playing Infront of 50k challenging for a league, sampling media scrutiny, European football and what it takes to be successful. Rousseau 11,594
I came across his name when I was looking at Bockaj (they were both transferred to Osijek at the same time). I remember thinking Grezda has scored more goals in fewer games, but is only 1 year older at 23. According to Wikipedia he's a winger/Attacking-midfielder so he fits into what SG wants in that position, with players coming inside.
DMAA 3,742
Looks like Grezda is happening. Have to say I was more impressed with his youtube compilation than Bockaj's. Grezda seems a player with a lot of potential; pace, skill, power and an eye for goal. Not afraid to get stuck in either. The most re-assuring thing here is that Barisic has played with Grezda for a year and if we're signing him it's because he knows he's good enough.
der Berliner 4,132
An Osijek fan over on FF said that Grezda was their best player last season ... and had no "if you go out of Europe he can go elsewhere" - clause as Barisic. We shall see. He's a right-winger who can play as a striker or left winger, if need be.
Uilleam 6,344
Let's hope that he is a substantial step up from Rudi Vata, of Albania, who turned out for fhilthfootballclub some years ago (if memory serves).
