Well said Hummel ?. It seems In not going with the norm shirt manufacturers that we could be getting a more personal touch, and hopefully something more unique in terms of design. Did I hear ‘orange’ shirts mentioned ? ...they’ll absolutely fly off the shelves.
trublusince1982 243
Typical short sighted decision you usually see from a short term board. Selling cheap horrible tat to loyal fans to scrape an extra million or two upfront tells us everything we should need to know.

So you suggest that they take a deal that brings in less cash?

I think we need the extra million or two.

Only less cash if your desperate for short term gain. Quality is what brings money to a business. It's why we have brands.
trublusince1982 243
Every deal should be in the long term interests of the brand and the building of our name and encouragement of customer loyalty

Quality is what brings money to a business. It's why we have brands. Retail deals are short term. An alleged increase in quality is going to have minimal impact on the cash we receive. That's Thea way these deals are structured. Remember that we didn't get any extra cash for increased sales in 2008 2 minutes ago, trublusince1982 said: Every deal should be in the long term interests of the brand and the building of our name and encouragement of customer loyalty I'd prefer to maximise our cash to improve our chances of success on the pitch. Results at this point are the most important thing. There's no suggestion that the quality of the goods from this deal won't be of a satisfactory quality. 7 minutes ago, trublusince1982 said: Who's going to buy another strip once the first falls apart? Gonzo79 14,143
We're a football club, not a 'brand'. Considering the stuff we've had to deal with in the last decade, folk kicking off about a good strip manufacturer deal need to get a grip.
