Scott7 6,410
If a deal is done which I doubt, no point in announcing it ahead of a derby thrashing with which he would be forever associated. Strangely, I think Rangers will win tomorrow.

Strangely, I think Rangers will win tomorrow. Thing is, without the club saying a word, the last few days have been filled with positive Gerrard stuff and not with any double-treble megalomania from Yahooland. Likewise, should the Scum win the game and thus another tainted title, announcing the deal on Monday would calm the emotions of the Bears as well as taking much wind out of the mhedia's sails re the aforementioned gloating about the magnificent Yahoos. I reckon certain papers have their 10-page pull-outs for Monday already printed.
Rousseau 11,218
All this news is based on the shortening of the odds, isn't it? Nothing concrete has been released/announced. I'm not sure a decision has to be made any time soon, just because the odds have shortened. It'll be released when it's done. Murty will see out the season, as stated several months ago.
der Berliner 3,969
Obviously, the sooner Gerrard checks in and looks at the players we have in person in training and on the playing field, the sooner he can look for options, replacements and all that ... without actually being in charge. The summer will be short enough.

It seems to be initially but since there have been whispers here and there that there’s something to it. Tony Cascarino has said “he’s been told that he’s very excited about it”. Also I’m sceptical about the report that McAllister won’t be he number 2, he was asked directly about and said he “had nothing to say about that just now”. Would have been easier to just say it wasn’t true move on.
