Dundee Offer To Play C****c Next Week

Recommended Posts

MIKAEL LUSTIG could be handed an Old Firm ban reprieve after crunch talks between Celtic and Dundee.

Lustig — sitting on a one-match ban after being sent-off in Sunday’s 2-0 win over Aberdeen — looked set to miss the Ibrox clash with Rangers on March 11 as a result.

But talks have taken place between Celtic and Dundee and the rearranged fixture could be played next midweek.

SunSport understands that Dundee have offered to travel to Glasgow on Tuesday or Wednesday next week, with Premiership chiefs believed to be happy to rubber-stamp either of those dates.

Should Celtic accept Dundee’s offer, Lustig would sit out that game and then be free to face Rangers.

Dundee duo Glen Kamara and Paul McGowan would be banned for Parkhead — but available for the vital clash with St Johnstone on March 10.

If Celtic opt not to play Dundee so close to the Ibrox clash, the rearranged game could be played in APRIL.

The midweek of March 14 is pencilled in for Scottish Cup replays or postponements and the following two midweeks fall on the international break.

The SPFL are also expected to announce new dates for the postponed Motherwell-Aberdeen and Hibs-Hamilton matches.

League chiefs took the dramatic decision to cancel all fixtures at 9.30am on Wednesday as snow caused chaos around Scotland.

I hope Lustig plays against us. He is not piss poor but not that great either.

Always good for a feck up or a rash tackle.

Rodgers if he has any sense would be wise to refuse the offer from Dundee.

But I hope he doesn't.                      :wanker:

No chance of them having anyone sent off. Beaton if the ref next weak.

Surprised they’d want a game so soon before the old firm. It’s another chance for injuries and niggles with not long to recover. Less time to prepare for the game too.
