Brendan Rodgers ‘a contender’ to replace Arsenal legend Arsene Wenger according to reports in England

The Hoops boss has been out of the Premier League since being sacked by Liverpool in 2015

Now, the Mirror claim he is on a shortlist to replace Arsene Wenger at the Emirates with the Frenchman coming under scrutiny following his side’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup Final.

The Gunners currently sit in sixth place in the Premier League table, TEN points behind rivals Tottenham in fourth sport and were knocked out of the FA Cup by Nottingham Forest last month.

With just the Europa League left to compete for, Arsenal chiefs are set to review Wenger’s position at the end of the season.

And Rodgers is reportedly a candidate alongside Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim, Germany’s Joachin Low and Man City coach and former Rangers star Mikel Arteta.
