Stephen Thompson to sell Dundee United training facility for £1 million

Quote from new chairman Mike Martin .

"It is clear that Dundee United benefits from an excellent staff and arguably the most loyal and passionate support base in the country."

The man is very clearly deluded.

To be fair, he did say “arguably”.

it is a very hard argument though.

The entire Scottish league fixture list is postponed today. There are two Scottish Cup quarter-final ties to fill six hours of BBC Scotland coverage.

Perhaps, Jum Spence will use the opportunity to explain the demise of Dundee United? Remember, Jum spent several months as a club consultant at Tannadice.

Or, they can continue to bash the H-u-ns.

Is this just a change of ownership for Dundee Utd? I'm assuming the guy Martin is a fan and selling the training ground to him is basically a way for him to inject money into the club. I hate to see any club get into difficulty, it's not something to be enjoyed. But, in the case of Dundee Utd I'm prepared to make an exception.

They could play rebel songs, maybe even get a few chanters in from The Ould Brigade Slophouse, or wherever.

Actually, that might even be preferable to Jum "Spencey" Spence.  Close decision.
