Sky Sports Info ...

Team news

Jason Holt returns from suspension for Rangers while Bruno Alves is in contention after a calf problem but Lee Wallace will have to further build up his fitness before making his comeback from groin surgery.

Ryan Jack (knee), Graham Dorrans (ankle) and Ross McCrorie (foot) remain on the sidelines while Jordan Rossiter (ankle) is still out of the first-team reckoning.

Levein is hopeful Steven Naismith will be fit to make the trip. The striker has been suffering from a hamstring injury and will be assessed after returning to training.

Arnaud Djoum (Achilles) and Jamie Brandon (knee) are long-term absentees along with Rory Currie (knee) and Malaury Martin (groin), while Danny Amankwaa has been given extra time to get up to full fitness.

Stats

Rangers have lost just one of their last 20 Scottish Premiership matches against Hearts at Ibrox (W14 D5) keeping 11 clean sheets during this period.

However, Hearts did manage to secure a goalless draw in their last trip to Ibrox, their first away point against Rangers in the top flight since picking up all three points with a 2-1 victory back in March 2012.

Rangers have won four of their last five league matches (L1) including a 5-3 away victory against Hamilton last time out.

Hearts have kept eight clean sheets in their last 11 Scottish Premiership games (W5 D5 L1).

Josh Windass (10 goals, six assists) and league top scorer Alfredo Morelos (12 goals, four assists) have been directly involved in a league high of 16 goals each so far, this season.

It's a significant weekend, not only for us as I wrote about a few posts back.

If the Aberdeen v Celtic match was to be a home win or draw, then it would re-enforce the growing feeling that Timothy are losening their grip on domestic dominance. The fact that they have beaten the sheep in 8 or 9 consectutive games up until now actually puts more pressure on them. How they react in this game will paint a clearer picture as to where they are domestically.........It goes without saying that we need 3 points today to increase the pressure.

I have no doubt the sheep will bend over for Timmy.  It's what they do.

We can only focus on ourselves - a win today is essential.

They won't bendover.

What has happened is that in the majority of sheep v Tim games, Tim have focused, raised their game and won convincingly.

It has happened so many times that some of the sheep players may have a mental problem with this game,...which would make it easier for celtic.

The tests tomorrow are 'can celtic raise their game' and 'do enough aberdeen players believe they can win'

Christie's out for the Sheep, as is - more vitally - Shinnie. He's one who would stand up to Brown's antics. But it is camera time again for McInnes' band and usually they wilt either because of that or the hooped colours of their opponents' shirts. Considering recent results of these two ...

The one important thing is that we do our job properly.
