It illustrates how fickle we can be: from being one of the primary scapegoats every week to demanding we extend his contract is quite a change!

Only for some fans!, I have always rated Tav and always felt he was left exposed by his team mates when he went on the attack!

Form is fickle, too......

Mind you, with JT, it does seem that his overall game is improving, concentration, tactical awareness, even his final ball.

Is he looking to see out his contract and leave for nothing?

"Whether I can extend my contract is down to the club. "

Would suggest he is open to extending but, as is always the case, will depend on what the offer is from the club and what other offers he receives.

Criticism is important, but I get frustrated at the certainly at which some will declare, 'get him out; he's not Rangers standard' etc. after watching them for a few games.

We are clearly very fickle - though, as you say, criticism is important too.

The exact same comments being attributed at Tavernier could be mirrored for Windass.  The same cries of him being useless are now being changed to looking to extend his contract as well.

It is no coincidence, to me at least, that Tavernier and Windass have seen their form improve considerably under Murty.

If the team have a successful second half to the season then Murty may well get the job?, now that would upset a lot of Rangers fans!

If we have a successful second half of the season, I'd like to think that almost all fans would be delighted!  If that means Murty gets the job, surely it's well deserved then.
