I have just received a telephone call from a visiting mate. He has lived outside London for nearly forty years. He is attending the game tonight and was shopping in the Rangers Shop in St Enoch Square. He leaves shop and BBC Scotland reporter and camera crew want to interview him reference UEFA's closing of a stand for the tie. Keeping it polite, he tells them why he will not speak to BBC Scotland. There's a shrug and they move to the next person alighting from the shop.

It will be interesting to see what contributions are aired?

Only a matter of time before they get hold of the biggest balloon in a Rangers top and use it as the opening for the evening news! utter scum, I hope they get chased to feck!

Why can’t shop staff move them along for harassing customers?

A dramatic stoppage-time Alfredo Morelos goal edged Rangers past Legia Warsaw and into the group stages of the Europa League on a nerve-shredding night at Ibrox.

Steven Gerrard's side endured a frustrating evening against their obdurate Polish visitors, having drawn the first leg 0-0 in Warsaw last week.

However, in a game of few clear chances, Morelos headed in Jordan Jones' cross to seal Rangers' place in the group stage alongside Celtic for the second consecutive season.

Rangers toiled for much of the game inside a febrile Ibrox, a section of which was closed after the club were charged by Uefa for sectarian singing by fans during the first qualifying round win over St Joseph's.

The club confirmed on Wednesday that they will not take tickets for their first away match in the group stages after being given a second Uefa charge for more "racist behaviour" in the first leg against Legia.

Rangers will discover their fate at a hearing on Friday, and face the prospect of either playing their next home game behind closed doors or being banned from taking fans to their next away fixture.

Morelos finally claims his prize

Rangers lacked a clinical, final touch from the start. An unmarked Morelos jabbed Ryan Jack's right-wing cross wide from a promising position after 10 minutes and would spurn another chance before the half was out.

This time, the Colombian led a counter attack before cutting inside and firing a shot towards goal. However, his shot through a sea of Legia defenders bounced tamely towards goalkeeper Radoslaw Majecki.

The visitors tried to take advantage of a blunt and ineffective Rangers performance when Luquinhas latched on to a loose ball just after the half-hour , but the forward's own attempt mirrored Morelos' chance with a shot straight at Allan McGregor.

On the stroke of half time towering midfielder Carlos Cafu met a corner to knock the ball just wide of the Rangers' back post, but it was the home side that went in to the break cursing their missed chances.

If poor luck dogged Rangers' first half, it was all to evident in the second period, too, when the first action of the half saw left-back Borna Barisic go down injured after colliding with Nikola Katic.

The Croatian defender was eventually forced to come off, but not before Morelos misjudged another clear header in the 65th minute, following a perfectly weighted cross from James Tavernier.

The game was temporarily halted during the second half after smoke from flares set off by the raucous Legia fans clouded the pitch. And, against the backdrop of an increasingly agitated home crowd and an increasingly rambunctious away section, Morelos continued to hunt for the all-important goal.

With 20 minutes to play, the Colombian curled a deflected shot just wide, then a few minutes later he met a Tavernier cross with an audacious volley straight at the goalkeeper. Chances kept appearing, but the Rangers forward continued to miss the target.

The home side's continued attacking intent was almost all in vain when Jaroslaw Niezgoda skipped inside Connor Goldson with minutes of the 90 remaining, but his effort was saved by an alert McGregor.

The breakthrough finally came in the 91st minute. Jones cut inside from the left and dug out a back-post cross towards Morelos, who connected cleanly and watched the ball nestle just inside the back post.

It wasn't pretty or impressive but it was more than enough.

This piece was penned by rabid Sellik supporter, Stefan Bienkowski. A Scot of Polish origins, he used to be a blogger. His favourite word in his blogs was, 'Sevco', he an eighty aSevco habit a day.

Hardly surprising Stefan has ended up working for Beeb Scotland, ardent Gang Hut member.

Further, I noted the Subby's headline on the piece was originally, "Legia join Celtic in Europa League draw". Another honest mistake I'm sure?

Just to confirm, BBC Radio Scotland provided NO coverage of last night's Europa Cup qualifying match against Legia Warsaw.

They had David Currie hosting, Rob McLean commentating, and James McFadden providing colour for ra Sellik's visit to Stockholm. It was a six O'Clock kick-off, ten minutes after it ended, they were off air. The only piece of information provided to license fee paying Rangers supporters, was the team line up.

Stefan Bienkowski watched RTV in a PQ room on his own and provided a bitter match report.

All that self promoting pysh they constantly spout, you know, "every second of the action", they are shameless.

Tune in on Sunday for more honest mistakes reference Rangers.

Triumphalism.

Just after two O'Clock on Sunday last, the denizens of the PQ Gang Hut donned party hats and hung out streamers and balloons. This season's narrative has been, Steve Gerrard is here to win championships, any deviation and questions must be asked? Well, that can wait because triumphalism and retribution comes first. The Dandy red rubber balloon, Big Dick and commentator, Rob McLean were busy lionising Ryan Christie and Jonny Hayes. It's a regular theme, both former Aberdeen players and their conditioning must be remembered. It's Big Dick's, Rob's, Liam's, Jonathon's, Wullie's, ..................... etc tenuous added feel good factor in defeating the hated enemy.

Another former Aberdeen player, Ryan Jack was NOT celebrated. His recent elevation to the Scotland squad was conveniently forgotten, as Big Dick demanded his fifty-fifty tackle with Bolingoli be latterly deemed a red card. He rolled out Jack's disciplinary record from two seasons past, "he received four red cards, two of those might have been rescinded". Pat Bonner agreed, Neil McCann was not so sure, he settled on a yellow. Interestingly, for the second week running, Sportscene consensus was NOT a red card. A relieved Compliance Officer can continue celebrating without worrying about citing Jack.

Amid the triumphalism, the triumphalistic line re-appeared after a year's absence. Neil Lennon was contacted fifteen minutes after the game, the first since Derek McInnes back in October, last year. Neil was full of superlatives for his side's performance and spat venom at all the experts that wrote off his team. I though Big Dick might ask why he refused to come to the phone in May, but his mouth was full. Sportsound went off air at 3 O'Clock, BBC Scotland's 3 O'Clock news led with the Yahoos victory, even providing two ten second commentary clips of both goals.

My favourite was on the evening's BBC TV news, Chris McLaughlin was back on his grassy knoll in front of the Hinshelwood estate, about thirty minutes after the final whistle. He had rushed round from the Broomloan/Govan stands corner and changed into shirt and tie. Breathlessly staring into the camera, he opened with, "with sectarianism heavy in the air". We must give credit where it's due, Chris admits what he brings to the scene. Oh, and Chris thought his heroes achieved victory, "with style". Once again, Sportscene disagreed, the concensus being the match contained no football and was rotten.

Eighteen months ago, when ten men Sellik defeated Rangers 2-3 at Ibrox, Edouard scoring the winner. Big Dick had to apologise for their then female Producer clearly screaming in delight as the Frenchman stroked home, "just a little over excited". No Producer screams on Sunday, PQ's triumphalism is morphing into something more careful. As soon as Peter tells them the questions to be proffered, they will be asked.
