Pacific Quay Musings?

Tony McGlennan, the former SFA compliance officer who is now a lawyer specialising in corporate crime and contentious regulatory matters, believes they will be able to argue their champions were decided on “sporting merit” if they can't complete the fixture list.

"I don't see that term further defined in the (UEFA) regulations, nor is there reference of that being at the conclusion of a season," he told BBC Scotland yesterday.

"If (the SPFL) have financial or other reasons which is encouraging them to call or declare their league, there would be, on the basis of that criteria, an argument to say the final standing is based on sporting merit.

It would be far more interesting whether he could give us the regulations of the SPFL and / or SFA that factually allows the SPFL to hand a title or force releation to/on teams without completing the full programme of league fixtures. That "sporting merit" argument.

Likewise, it would be good to know whether any such an "option" is being agreed upon ... and by whom. And who actually has the power decide and ratify it.

Opinions are fine, facts and rules would be better for any arument or debate.

Fair point.  That's probably why their opinions are often sidelined.

Any former Rangers player unwilling to tug their forelocks to BBC Celtic will find it hard to get anywhere near a microphone. Those who do are either thick as shit like the Fergusons or desperate for drinking money

Currently listening to BBC Shortbread.

Scott Gardener of Inverness CT has just appeared and simply explained the timeline of yesterday's voting; ICT, Partick Thistle, and Dundee all voted no within several minutes of each other. Doncaster claims the Dundee vote was not received, then called Peter Lawwell at 17.01hrs. I suspect Gardener has holed the good ship SPFL below the waterline?

Both Tom English and Michael Stewart have backed the Rangers statement reference bullying. Rangers have called for the suspension of Doncaster and SPFL legal adviser, Rod McKenzie.

The consensus on Beeb Scotland at the moment is that the whole voting process and SPFL Proposal stinks, "guns have been held to heads".

The Holicom Hamster must work harder.

With Sword and Bible to hand, I trust, 26th?

I would use ear defenders myself but for once it seems you have heard something decent.

The ninety minute discussion on yesterday's events concluded with Tom English saying, "I spoke with someone this morning who has been involved with Scottish football administration for five decades. He says yesterday was the worst he has ever seen for machiavellian manoeuvres".

WTF?

Where are Peter's Firefighters? I think I can hear the megaphones at PQ bellowing, 'Chris, Chris, where are you, hurry'!

Michael Stewart actually talked sense. Clearly implicating Celtic as controlling this corruption.

A rare occasion where his affinity for Hearts trumps his more sinister side.
