Someone that was at the game told me that Dodoo "did ok, but not great" and that he needs "to do more if he wants to play in the first team".

Funny on FF someone posted he was outstanding.

That's a shame. I can't argue with your contacts...

I really thought -- and still do -- that he had something about him. Maybe a psychological thing?

Yeah, my response was the same.  I think that there is a player in there - but maybe he is one of those youngsters who had too much too soon and doesn't apply himself enough.  He will struggle to get in ahead of both Murphy and Candeias now, but maybe worth keeping for the future given both Murphy & Candeias are in their late 20's ?

All about opinions I guess pete.

Could also be that my contact has very high expectations I suppose.  I do trust my contact, but that doesn't mean he is always right

Is this another humblebrag that you're mates with Kevin Thomson?  :D

I'm sure I had heard him say he was going in for an induction, to take in some training sessions and an U20 game.

Re Dodoo, I assume he would have come along had we not signed Murphy in time. A we saw last night, Murphy and Candeias were our left wing options, even though John and O'Halloran can step in too, as can Windass.

BTW, such games in Florida do also offer us the opportunity to place some folk into the shop window. Windass won't have harmed his reputation with his performance, while Hodson, Herrera and Dalcio were also on "display". Something some will sure find reassuring ...
