Club 1872 meeting with Stewart Robertson

Dear Member

At the recent RIFC AGM, Club 1872 directors put forward members’ questions about the length of time being taken to appoint a new manager. We emailed members on 1st December to update them on the answers provided by RIFC chairman, Dave King. A detailed account of these questions and answers can also be found here.

As always, the Club 1872 board is committed to representing supporters’ views and seeking clarity on any matters raised by members. It is part of our role as representatives of thousands of Rangers supporters to speak directly to the club about any such matters and to ascertain what we can do not only to voice members’ views in relation to them but also to inform our members of the outcome of any correspondence with the club.

The Club 1872 board met yesterday to discuss the above and recent events with regard to the recruitment of a new manager, as well as the wider matter of how Club 1872 can communicate more effectively with the club and play a meaningful and appropriate role in influencing decision making.

Accordingly we have been in contact with Stewart Robertson and will be meeting with him this week to discuss recent events, the outstanding AGM questions, and how to grow and develop our relationship with the club in a way that reflects our status as the second largest shareholder in RIFC.

Members will be updated on the outcome of our meeting with Stewart Robertson in due course.

A list of the outstanding AGM questions can be found here.
