We’ve been talking with the guys here at Gersnet and thought it may be beneficial to all to start a new discussion on matched betting.

 

We know that a lot of you have had some experience with matched betting already and have participated in some great discussions when Profit Squad and YesBets ran threads here last year and we’d like to continue that discussion as well as introduce ourselves and the services that we provide which is more sports betting and football betting focused.

 

WHAT IS MATCHED BETTING?

For those of you who weren’t around for the previous threads or didn’t participate in them, I’ll briefly explain what matched betting is.

 

Matched betting is a method of extracting a profit from free bets and bonuses given by bookmakers. The majority of bookmakers offer a free bet to new customers, but to receive this free bet you have to first place a bet with your own money. With matched betting, you cover this initial bet by also betting on it not to win. You then repeat this process of placing a bet, this time with the free bet you have received and again bet on it not to win. As you are using the free bet this time and not your own money, you can return an overall cash profit of around 80% of the free bet value.

 

There are hundreds of free bets available worth over £1,000 with new ones being given out by bookmakers on a daily basis and so there is a constant stream of profits that can be made.

Happy to welcome MatchedBets.com to the forum and help promote their offer.

 

We've had some good matched betting discussions in the past and it would be great to get another one going. MatchedBets have some very helpful tools and I'm confident anyone who uses their service will return a good profit. I tried one of the other sites last year and did so with a minimum of fuss so it can be done if you have some spare time to devote to it.

From what I remember, there are usually new regular offers that you can use after the start-up ones.

 

It does take a bit of time to build up a decent pot but the overall theory does work in my experience. I just didn't have the time to keep doing it to make the larger sums. Seems like easy money if you do though.

It's probably got a lot to do with discipline and patience, as well as picking winners

I'm uncomfortable with gambling being promoted or facilitated. Like alcohol and recreational drugs, it is a basis of addiction for some, with often catastrophic effects on families and communities. If people want to gamble then fine but I'm not sure it should be given a platform to publicise itself, whether on football tops, tv or Gersnet. Just my point of view.

Hi Bill, your views are respected and we would never advise anyone with a gambling problem to take up matched betting. However, it is greatly different to traditional betting in that the risk of loss is minimal. MB is used by many people as a means of making money online. Some even generate a second income from matched betting.
