Pena hasn't been great but he's a £2.5m asset whilst Niko (ice guy that he is) is done and leaving soon. Why on earth does Murty think it best to select Niko? Worse, why does the DoF agree with it? He's quite a good second-striker, but nothing else. For that, we either haven't paid Chivas in full or will write off 2.x million. Neither seems likely. It would be helpful if people knew what was keeping him from play yesterday and last week, as the assumptions being flung about sure don't help. People costing quite a bit and then not playing should be addressed, even though many won't believe what is being said anyway. Our current problem might be that we have too great a reliance on e.g. Miller dragging us through the manager-less time and Murty relying on "what went right before" with little or no changes. One might accept that, but if he's out to make a name for himself, he should do things differently too. So up to Dens Park and when everyone is fit, have a go at them: Foderingham McCrorie - Alves - Wilson Jack Candeias - Pena - Kranjcar - John Morelos - Herrera And before people scream: Tavernier! He is better this season than last, probably due to Candeias. But we don't need him every game, or at least need him less than we need a replacement for Windass.
