JFK-1 1,696
The 30-year-old has been a key player since his summer move from Norwich City, scoring five goals in 13 appearances so far. But according to the Sunday Mail, the ex-Scotland international is struggling to recover the troublesome blow and could be a doubt for the crucial double-header against Aberdeen. That would prove a major blow to caretaker boss Graeme Murty who is desperate to welcome the midfielder back into the fold. Gers first take on Derek McInnes’ Dons at Ibrox on Wednesday November 29 before travelling to Pittodrie days later on Sunday December 3. Should the Light Blues take maximum points, it could see them leapfrog Aberdeen – who remain unbeaten in the league so far this season. They couldn't even take a quick look at the league table, the sheep are not unbeaten in the league. The powderkeg fixture will grab even more attention as McInnes’ future at Pittodrie remains unclear – with bookies making the former Gers midfielder red-hot favourite to replace sacked Pedro Caixinha at Rangers. Lee McCulloch became the latest ex-Rangers player to urge his former club to appoint McInnes, claiming that his knowledge of the club and his experience of playing at Ibrox should be an important part of the recruitment process. Meanwhile, McInnes was spotted with Rangers-mad GLOW star Brian Matthews at a charity bash in Glasgow last night. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/1829179/rangers-dorrans-injury-aberdeen/
MacK1950 2,459
Dorrans ain't been missed in last couple of game,so unless other injuries happen not a big worry.
pete 2,511
Dorrans ain't been missed in last couple of game,so unless other injuries happen not a big worry. I personally feel until now that Dorrans and Jack are treading the same water and thus not complementing each other. For me it is one or the other. Hopefully a new manager will sort that out.
ian1964 10,870
Dorrans should be deployed in a more forward position
der Berliner 4,165
Dorrans should be deployed in a more forward position Very much so. While he is a central midfielder, he ain't a defensive midfielder. We deployed him further up field earlier in the season and 5 goals and a few assists in 13 games show that. In his last few games he played alongside Jack and it was clear to see that they don't really complement one another and our forward play / midfield dominance lacked quite a bit. Jack and Holt were much better in that respect, not least since Holt's engine covered every inch of grass and also allowed him to go into attacking mode more often than Dorrans did. IMHO, certain games don't even require a DM double either, not least when our central defenders are more accomplished and quick than those of seasons gone by. Dorrans will sure have a role to play this season, but I'd hope in a more attacking slot.

Frankie 8,908
I'd rather have him available but his form hasn't been that great so far.

I would say the Dorrans and Holt partnership was the best we have seen to date this season and is worth another few games to see if it really is a good blend or was just a good couple of games.
26th of foot 6,221
I would play Dorrans, Jack, and Holt against the Dandies. I find Windass 'frustrating'.
