StuGers 477
What is it with ex-players that just simply won’t defend anything to do with our club? I’ve had the misfortune of listening to Clyde 1 and they are all getting stuck into Jack and saying the red should have stood (including Johnstone). You would never get that with an ex-Sellick player. So what is it about our ex-players that they just tow the party line that all things Rangers are bad? Is it because they feel like they’ll lose their job if they don’t?
Gonzo79 15,299
Maintaining neutrality, being reasonable, decency and dignity. All things Yahoos are incapable of. There's also a job safety element at play, which may disappoint us as supporters but it is also understandable. Do you throw away a steady good income in the name of honesty? Most people wouldn't. The Tims have infested every area of Scottish society and we have to educate ourselves and our sons in order to take them on in the future because they won't stop until we are an insignificance.

They simply need the money , most of these guys are on their arses financially and wont risk losing an income
cooponthewing 1,139
Johnstone is continually just doing what he is told as they pat him on the head now and again. The only one that will defend the club is Alex Rae. They rarely ask him on due to this. Don’t expect anything from Johnstone as he is a mhank puppet. He will say anything for his few shillings.

StuGers 477
Neil McCann comes across well doing punditry. That is true. He is pretty much the only one that I don’t mind at all.
Gonzo79 15,299
If you had no idea about Scottish football and then watched Chris Sutton and Neil McCann on TV doing punditry and then looked into who they had played for, who would you suspect are a classier bunch? Unfortunately, sometimes arrogant, obnoxious, snidey gits get their way and people with class take a back seat. We can see that all over the Scottish sports media.
