Hopefully the lad will learn his lesson from this and stay away from cheating morons like Kirk Broadfoot.

I assume because the referee booked him at the time.

Once again the system shown to be flawed.

Yes on one side they say the Ref can get it wrong and on the other they say he seen it and dealt with it, he can't be wrong. I suppose they don't want every yellow card questioned so they put that rule in place.

Surely in incidents like this, if the red card is overturned the referee (or in this case more likely the 4th official) has to be suspended for his utter incompetence.

We had a situation where the 4th official has got involved from 50 yards away to "correct" the referee who had issued a yellow card, and it turns out the 4th official was wrong. I dont know whot he 4th official was that night, but there simply has to be an internal investigation as to why he thought he should get involved in that incident when the 4th official only usually gets involved if managers step out of line, or the incident is right in front of them.

Personally, I cannot believe Jack "got away with it" as IMO he eventually got what he deserved for his intention to hit Broadfoot (both with knee and hands/head) instead of moving away and let us hit the penalty. I dont see how the CO can overturn that decision.

Given that this decision has now been made however, we should be raising this second rescinded red card in 10 games with the authorities, along with the numerous non-red cards that should have been shown against our opponents, and demanding an explanation as to why we are on the receiving end of all the wrong decisions in our matches this season? And make it public knowledge.

Video referee is the answer so the referee is certain to be right. Then you can drop the compliance officer.

If Craig Thomson (other examples are readily available!) is the Video referee we will still be victimised. The VR is still, for a lot of decisions, making a judgement call. Was a particular tackle reckless and deserving of a red card? The answer, even after umpteen viewings is still that it is not a red card for Scott Brown but it is for Ryan Jack. Scott Brown's weekly off the ball elbow will still be ignored. Louis Moult still gets away with breaking Cardoso's nose.

However there is more chance of getting obvious errors right at a time when it can still influence the game if a VR is in play, which I support. Offside goals etc are a matter of fact.not judgement. I would take that small comfort at least, as well as Tony getting his well-earned P45.
