UEFA TO HONOUR REAL MADRID AND RANGERS AS WORLD’S MOST SUCCESSFUL CLUBS

BY EDITOR ON APRIL 1, 2017 UEFA

UEFA are to honour both Real Madrid and Rangers as the World’s Most Successful Clubs ahead of this season’s Champions League Final at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on Saturday June 3.

In a statement released this morning on the official UEFA website, spokesman Andrea Traverso spoke of the pride that UEFA has in being the home to the two most successful clubs on the planet.

“UEFA will recognise the achievements of both Real Madrid and Rangers in Cardiff before this season’s Champions League Final. Europe has many proud clubs with long and successful histories but these two clubs stand out and are exceptional. Real Madrid have won the European Cup/ Champions League on eleven occasions starting in 1956 and going through until 2016. They have also on the UEFA Cup on two occasions and the Super Cup three times.

“Add to that three Intercontinental wins and to successes in the FIFA Club World Cup competition and an unrivaled record in domestic football and you start to understand just how successful Real Madrid have been over their proud, unbroken history,” stated Traverso.

Real Madrid has been recognised as the FIFA Club of the 20th Century and was named as Best European Club of the 20th Century by the IFFHS on 11 May 2010. The club received the FIFA Centennial Order of Merit in 2004. The club is ranked first in the latest IFFHS Club World Ranking, setting a new ranking-points record. The club also leads the current,” continued Traverso.

“It may be possible for for UEFA to organise a Play-Off match between the two clubs to settle the argument about which is the outright winner of the coveted title of The World’s Most Successful Clubs,” revealed the UEFA man.

“The global appeal for this match would break world records with at least an audience of 500million guaranteed to be watching. Some Real Mardid fans may watch too.” Traverso stated.

Rangers has been a club that Andrea Traverso has greater knowledge of as they have been occupying his time quite considerably over the last year or so.

He seemed to be a big fan, revealing in his statement a real admiration for the way they have managed to accrue so many honours in their history.

In an off the Record interview Traverso told us:

“Rangers are a special club. The have already 54 titles since 2012 and last year won the Challenge Cup beating Peterhead 3-0 in the final. That match was broadcast live on Swiss television and we were all impressed. I hope to have more news on Rangers soon.”

If this is true its good to see UEFA trying to organise something however nothing happen I wonder why will try emailing them. The point of the post was to raise awareness as many players as well as fans don't understand how big we are as a club.

Come off it, this is a very poor April the first "joke" from the Rangers' hating Scotzine from last season.

Writing to UEFA will only ever work if you write it in coherent, and at least reasonably error free, English and send it to a correct address. In any case, why would you write to them about a spoof, April Fool article ripping the piss out of us from a bigoted Scottish website about something predicted to happen before last season's Euro Cup Final in Cardiff?

"If it is true..." after being told it was from April 1st 2017. Really? But then you knew that knew that when you posted it because it had the date on it and gies on to talk about the Cardiff final as well as being an obvious piss take: "“The global appeal for this match would break world records with at least an audience of 500million guaranteed to be watching. Some Real Mardid fans may watch too.”"

Ha bloody ha. Not.

The point of the post was to regurgitate anti-Rangers drivel.
