I don't have any time for Tam Cowan, BBC Scotland or the MSM of Scotland nowadays.

 

Fitba' news in this country is all about how great Rodgers and co are and how all things connected to Rangers from the boardroom down to their fans are the polar opposite.

 

Rangers FC and their supporters are treated by the media as some kind of disease/poison in Scotland to an extent where 'football fans' of other clubs actually believe it to be true.

 

BBC Scotland and even Tam Cowan I don't mind admitting were pretty good at presenting football at a time when the game needed good reporting with some banter thrown in, those days are long gone now.

 

You can gauge just how much it has changed by watching this BBC pre Cup Final show from 1999.

 

Warning: The patter may be sh1te, the build-up may be sh1te, but the BBC's responsible level headed attitude shown prior to a big game of football has sadly been lost...probably forever.
