[FT] Rangers 6 (Miller 4; Alves 10; Morelos 23, 76; Tav 27; Candeias 57) - 0 Pars

Recommended Posts

Niko Kranjcar will return to the Rangers squad for Wednesday night's Betfred Cup clash with Dunfermline.

The former Tottenham and QPR playmaker missed Sunday's Ladbrokes Premiership opener at Motherwell with a hip knock but is back in Pedro Caixinha's squad for the midweek visit of the Pars.

Martyn Waghorn has departed to Ipswich while Carlos Pena is unlikely to feature as he is still short of fitness.

Provisional squad: Foderingham, Wallace, Tavernier, Hodson, Cardoso, D Wilson, Alves, Bates, McCrorie, Beerman, Holt, Rossiter, Dorrans, Jack, Pena, Dalcio, Morelos, Candeias, Herrera, Miller, Windass, Barjonas, Alnwick.

They should be getting a shutout and I would expect a minimum 3 to fly into the Dunfermline net and if not may be a shade concerned. Though in saying that the yahoos went to lowland league East Kilbride last year and only got 2 against a team playing in a league containing the likes of Whitehill Welfare and Civil service strollers.

You just never know but in saying that I expect us to be swarming all over them from the first whistle and the goals should come.

It's great to see some of our support being as positive as ever.

We can't have another season like last season

The bar needs to be raised.

The Rangers board made money available to be spent on the squad & it needs to be seen to have been spent wisely.

Perhaps a loan with a club in the top division would be better for him now.

No more championship sides

Might be an idea to send him to Hamilton where they have a long term policy of playing and rearing young talent. And a bonus for me aside from Hamilton being my hometown is that he may help them beat Motherwell down into the playoff/relegation spots.

No Joe Dodoo. Someone needs to reveal what the script is with that.

But good to see Kranjcar and Rossiter in the squad. As mentioned earlier Id make numerous changes to give game time - with the match against hibs in mind.

Yes, but perhaps we should stop making every next game - not least this early - out to be the make-or-break game of this season ... which essentially can be read between the lines.
