Rangers v Progrès Niederkorn - Failure is not an option

Recommended Posts

Considering the team is only 3 weeks into pre season training the result was the most important part of last nights match.

I thought we played well in the first half and could/should have score a few more goals, we fell away a wee bit in the second half which at this stage is probably expected!, the team just needs to keep working hard.

yes, that's true, actually it is always true - but the result was very poor.

Put it this way if u-no-who had laboured (which it became) to that score v that team last night - how would we be reacting?

It was a good display but all the wee fannies who started throwing the paper onto the pitch, delaying the game and risking a UEFA fine are putting future displays at risk.

Frankie & I were right under the big blue bear, that's our seats, we were saying exactly the same thing when the paper was being thrown!, guys put a lot of time and effort into arranging these displays and the club allow them, but the club would be quite entitled to stop them in future!, which would be a terrible shame as I like the displays.

I think we will have considerable difficulty getting beyond Q2 never mind Q3 & Q4.

We're not in Q2 yet.

The result was good but the scoreline was unsatisfactory at best. I don't agree with the "new team", "early season" excuses. One of the players whose job is to score goals Waghorn, failed completely as he did many times last season. He should not have been selected. We know what he can't do. Morales should have started. He may not be better than Waghorn but he can't be worse.

The centre halves have improved on the McCoist/Warburton sides. Their teams would have lost a goal last night. The midfield is promising but all to no avail if the finishers can't score. Let's hope Herrera can get goals. Miller scores a few but not nearly enough.

We're still not right in MF either. We started with three recognised MF players: Holt , Jack & Krankjcar. I don't see how we needed two defensive MF players which what Holt & Jack are.

Then Krankcjar went off & the creativity ended there & then

I think we should be looking at five in MF: three central & one on either flank.
