The club say both Lambert and themselves*agreed to part ways after just six months in charge during a football review at the end of the season. Wolves‘ new Chinese owners Fosun are believed to have lined up a new manager, reported to be former Porto boss and ex-goalkeeper Nuno Espirito Santo. Former Celtic star Lambert, 47, was thought to have concerns about super-agent Jorge Mendes bringing players into the club. Fosun have worked closely with Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes since they took over the club in July 2016 – but Lambert wanted to sign mostly English players. Several of their 12 signings last summer were brought in Mendes – but many of them struggled to make an impact in the Championship. But Nuno is a client of Mendes – the advisor to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Diego Costa, James Rodriguez and Jose Mourinho – who is brokering a deal for him to take over at Wolves. Lambert*is the fourth of Wolves’ last six bosses to last less than a year at Molineux. But after Walter Zenga was fired in November with the club in a pickle at the bottom of the Championship, Lambert steered them to comfortable safety – and even beat Liverpool in the FA Cup along the way. Along with Lambert, coaches Stuart Taylor and ex-Wolves player Rob Edwards, as well as fitness coach and head of sport science*Tony Daley are also leaving. That's always going to work out for the best right? Because the agent has only the best interests of the club in mind and is also a super coach. Gribz 743 Posted May 30, 2017 Share Posted May 30, 2017 I actually think Lambert is a decent manager but he has been moving around and leaving clubs in bad terms a few times now which wont do his reputation any good. Wolves are another club with huge potential but with crazy owners who seem to run it like a computer game.
