So far it seems to be the winter palace everyone is telling me to do, do you agree? Forbidden city and Tiananmen Square - both joined onto each other. Impressing stuff! But ignore the tour guides. Great wall also - but get up super early and go and you will be back in town by evening. Beijing traffic is ridiculous. Not done Winter Palace but I did Jinci Temple in Taiyuan which was one of the best places Ive been to so I think Winter Palace would be great. Thats the problem there is so much to see but i have very little time available if the schedule goes as planned. Sounds like an amazing place really looking forward to it no matter how brief the visit. Trying to wrangle some more time and getting the better half out with me too, fingers crossed.
