Season ticket money all for the squad

Recommended Posts

I'd also add that I'm surprised the level of renewals is that high. I can instantly think of 8 seats that won't be renewed and another 2 that haven't got round to it yet, and that's out of a fairly small pool of people.

Hang on a minute here; if the ST money is all going to be invested in the squad, where are we going to get money to run the club and pay wages week by week?

When are we going to see the next tranche of the £30 million?

Surely if the season ticket money is going on the squad then someone is paying the bills and running costs............

Match day income, sponsorship , hospitality ,individual tickets sales, TV money, prize money ...........

Expected season ticket income has always been used to estimate acceptable squad expenditure. Should be 10-12m from season tickets so 8-9m on wages leaves 1-3m for transfers plus whatever other funds are added with the extra euro money available. Just a very difficult matter of balancing risk and reward to determine the full budgets now they know ST sales are on target.

You know as well as I do that if they are saying it is all going on the squad then the rest of the money comes from corporate sponsorhip, advertising and soft loans.

Has the 30 million not already been "invested". I bet a large sum of it has. It still isn't enough, we need more.

Personally I think we need to have even more high net worth individuals prepared to invest in us to spread the financial load.

How does this "realistic prospect of exceeding the record sales of more than 43,000 achieved this season" from the most recent statement

reconcile with

"CLUB Chairman Dave King has again thanked fans for the exceptional support this season that saw a record of more than 43,000 season tickets purchased.

This is the maximum amount of season tickets that can be sold to supporters given the need to reserve a complete section of the stadium for away supporters." from last years statement.

Is the club looking at changing the allocation/location of away fans ?

Question for all you guys :

My son is moving up north this summer (12 yrs old) and the wife is moving back to Scotland to be with him whilst I stay here in Bermuda by myself - don't all be getting jealous at the same time :ninja:

I am looking to get season tickets for them - I always liked the Govan but where would you recommend ? I'm not sure I want to try to get them tickets in the Family Stand as I prefer to watch a game side-on.

Thanks

Agree - side on view for a ST. I used to sit in the club deck and loved it, if you get near to the half way line up there then its a great view to watch - the stairs are a bit if a hike mind!

Congrats on becoming a batchelor haha.
