Club Statement - Gilmour joing Chelsea in the summer

Recommended Posts

It sounds like a good deal for the player.

The club are covering the costs of his development.

He is going to make quite a bit of money regardless of whether or not he goes on to be a success.

At 15 years old , money should be the last thing on his mind , that's what's wrong here , it's all about money , given even an average success at Rangers he would have been a very very wealthy young man .

And if he didn't make it at Rangers before getting that lucrative 1st contract ?

And if he got injured at Rangers before getting that lucrative 1st contract ?

I disagree - today's society seems to be all about money - and in football you don't have a particularly long career. What chance of Billy Gilmour staying at Rangers and ultimately moving to Chelsea ? This was probably his one chance to sign for a powerhouse - not only well within his rights to take it - but he may never again get the chance to sign a contract that pays him enough money to allow him to never work again by the age of 20.

Yes, but investments can go down as well as up.

If Gilmour netted a hat trick against the fhilth, he would be able to dine out on that for the rest of his natural life, and would never have to buy a drink in this city again.

what goods money when your away from home alone ,missed out on your childhood and get treated like a commodity every day of your life whilst feeling like your never good enough? Stays at Rangers becomes a millionaire leaves he becomes a millionaire. Money has nothing to do with it greed does.
