The Pre-Summer-2017 transfer rumours and hearsay all inclusive Thread

Depends on how you look after yourself.

Miller may not be everyone's cup of tea but at 37 no one can deny he's fit; played in more games [47] than any other player last season; was second top goalscorer on 14 and had 8 assists to boot. Again not wanting to reignite the Miller debate, just giving an example. And at the other end of the pitch of course there was Davy Weir.

Defenders are different as strikers and have a longer shelf life on the whole.

Meanwhile ...

jellybeans

We have definitley spoken with Naismith however players will need to be moved on before a deal can be done

Others ...

Yeah there has definitely been contacted from us now.

At the start of the window he wasn't on the list of targets but things change.

They had a poll over there with - as of now - 730+ people. Roughly 82% would welcome Naismith back.

And then there was this ...

It has emerged Brighton winger Jamie Murphy is one of those under consideration. The 27-year-old Scot, who also has interest in him from Rangers and Celtic, has been looking for a new contract on the south coast.

He played 40 times during the promotion winning season with the Seagulls but Chris Hughton knows his squad needs major improvements to stay in the Premier League.

Murphy is valued at around the £4m mark and has shown he can handle life in the Championship. Fulham are also keen.

Warbs wants Wes Former Rangers boss Mark Warburton weighs up move to take Wes Foderingham to Nottingham Forest

The ex-Light Blues gaffer has already plundered his old club for winger Barrie McKay

Exclusive

MARK WARBURTON is weighing up another raid on Rangers with Wes Foderingham next in his sights.

Former Gers gaffer Warbs has already plundered his old club for Barrie McKay.

Warbs signed Wes for Rangers from Swindon two years ago

Now the Nottingham Forest boss is desperate to bring in a keeper as he prepares for the new Championship season.

But if he wants to net Foderingham — who he signed for Gers from Swindon two seasons ago — he will have to stump up hard cash.

Even then, Ibrox boss Pedro Caixinha is unlikely to want to lose his No 1 choice, with Jak Alnwick and Liam Kelly the only other keepers on the club’s books.

But Warburton may test his resolve as he searches for a keeper he can rely on.
