der Berliner 3,803
Will Vaulks AND Steven Whittaker, mind you! Well, at least according to our friends over at DR Central. The same who have this to say this morning: Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha snubbed Ibrox stars in wake of 5-1 defeat to Celtic Daily Record 06:58 Rangers have Mark Warburton to blame for having duds tied down on 40 years worth of deals Daily Record 06:58 Rangers need to find buyers for their underachieving players or bite the bullet and pay them off Daily Record 06:56 Rangers need to forget Celtic and prove they can be a match for Aberdeen first, says Mark… Daily Record 06:56 While we as demanding fans will sure hate it, you would hope that we don't tell anyone about our targets up to the moment where they have signed on.
der Berliner 3,803
Regarding Will Vaulks, he's a 23-year old defensive midfielder Rotherham got from Falkirk last (sic!) summer. He played 38 Championship et al games for them, though they are rock-bottom in that league (not exactly telling about his qualities, but that of the whole squad). Might be that they want to recoup some of his 400k transfer fee, but as has been said, why would PC go after a player he will probably next to nothing about? From what I remember of Vaulks last season is that we always had it tough against him and he gave us some chagrin as well. It's been said (other boards) that he's the only chap that got pass marks in the Rotherham squad too. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/will-vaulks/profil/spieler/238427

Curious. Did Pedro 'snub' Ibrox stars or merely Warburton's duds? I am not sure that I should be able to differentiate between them, if pressed. Does rasellik Record do so?
der Berliner 3,803
Strap yourselves in ... CITY can confirm seven first-team squad members will leave the Club when their contracts expire on June 30 – and the Club has exercised options to retain the services of two players for a further year. The players who will be free agents as of June 30 are John Ruddy, Sebastien Bassong, Steven Whittaker, Ryan Bennett, Youssouf Mulumbu, Michael Turner and Kyle Lafferty. Whittaker, 32, arrived at Carrow Road in June 2012, making his Canaries bow in a League Cup tie against Tottenham Hotspur that October, the first of 14 appearances in his debut campaign. He made the right-back berth his own during the promotion-winning year of 2014-15, assisting Nathan Redmond for City's second goal in the play-off final. The former Hibernian and Rangers full-back signed a new one-year deal last summer and has played 17 matches this season, with his overall appearance total currently at 106. Lafferty, 29, has made 39 appearances since joining from Palermo in 2014, netting four times with his most recent strike coming against Leeds United last November. I would hazard a guess that the DR put 1 and 1 together and ending with 5.

Waltersgotstyle 307
Looks like Stephen Naismith will be released by Norwich too. Yes yes and yes. We lack passion - Naismith would give us that in abundance. Still a very good player on his day.
