Bluedell 5,679
I cannot get to away games and so have no idea what this song is. Haven't read anything about it on online mhainstream mhedia either - YET . Strikes me that given the lazy bigoted fookers that pass as journalists in our country get much/most of their material from trawling the internet forums............I'd love to see this thread just......disappear. Is the O/P still looking for snaw 'cos I'ts already melted  ? Just a thought. If I heard it on the TV yesterday then I'm sure the journalists at the game and who recorded it also heard it. It's noticeable that BBC had the crowd volume turned right down last night. Do you think that's a coincidence? I wouldn't be surprised if they are waiting for a bear to complain and then they can hit us with it. I've a bit of sympathy with your view, and we do that already with some songs/add-ons, but this is so OTT that it needs to be dealt with.
SteveC 150
Forlansister, I'm in BF3 and I can say in all honesty that I have never heard it - whatever it is ! I just don't think that it is a great idea to air the subject/problem on this, a very public (and otherwise most excellent) forum. We continue to have more than enough battles to fight without armouring our many, many, enemies, providing the scum press with their next pish headline for them. There was a 12 page thread on this on FF (with many fine posts amidst some nonsense) and then Spiers wrote an article in the Times about our songs. This new thing sounds abysmal and I can't get my head around why it would be introduced now. Some welcome for PC and his staff. The FF thread is now 35 pages and clearly is not about an imaginary problem. Edited April 10, 2017 by SteveC
cooponthewing 1,139
We have a problem with that song and it needs sorted asap. Sticking your fingers in your ears and pretending it isn't being sung is as self defeating as actually singing the song itself. We gave our enemies a stick with which to beat us the second that song was sung you should perhaps aim your ire at the idiots singing it not those condemning it. I thought I heard it a few weeks ago from BF1. I'm in BR3 but wasn't sure FS? Louder at rugby park though.

The sooner we get back on his case re his absence of reporting the terrorist and sectarian songs from the scum hut the better. Horrible unsavoury snide individual.

Walterbear 557
You can hear it at Ibrox emanating from BF1. People who think our football club which some of us have actually been supporting for decades before they were born is exclusively theirs and we are just guests. Well they are wrong. I can't agree that the thread should 'go away' however. If it is obvious that the vast majority do not accept this song then we can demonstrate the sentiments are not in line with the values of our fans and club. Silence is slso often taken as being complicit, especially by those who want to harm Rangers. The value of this thread is that it shows the significant majority on here do not want to associate themselves with this song and don't accept it portrays the values of our club. I think it is healthier for Rangers if people outside understand that.
ian1964 10,761
Maybe Club1872 should contact the UB and ask them to stop?
LucyBlue 0
The Gers fans were brilliant yesterday...save this 'song'. It's an embarrassment. Needs binned.
