POWDERPUFF Rangers star Joe Garner is a poor excuse for a football hardman

Recommended Posts

Maybe the next time Garner just turns away, goes down to one knee and holds his face? No need to go down like being pole-axed. Same goes for Halliday (midweek) when being brushed off the ball (legally or not) going down, spreading his arms looking at the ref 75% of the time. Perhaps it has become part and parcel of the modern game, but one does not have to accept or like it. Garner does hand the refs an easy decision with yellow cards, but likewise puts himself about like hardly any striker for us did these last 3 or 4 years.

As for that debate above, Aberdeen were fouling our players all over the folk, Taylor should have gone for his jump at Toral, Jack too. Shinnie was lashing out time and again, Wilson had his nose broken by Rooney - unintentionally or not, it was dangerous play and meritted a yellow. Yet, for the mhedia, the pendulum only swings in one direction.

That's all well and good, if all players of all teams were highlighted in equal terms!, we are still waiting to hear their views on Broon elbowing Holt, Broon & Dembele dives!, and the Rooney elbow which broke Wilsons' nose wasn't even worthy of debate?, as well as all the rest of the sheep players assaulting our players at every turn not mentioned

As I said, that pendulum only swings in one direction, and that's ours.

Just noticed that immediately prior to Millers first goal when Waghorns attempt had been parried by the goalkeeper that Waghorn looked as if he was thinking about staying down and maybe throwing in some theatrics to see if he could get something from the ref. Then Millers strike hits the net and Waghorn bounces straight up and sprints off to join the celebration.

This is professional football, our players are no worse than any others but they do get more attention than any others from the faux Scottish sports media. Attention amounting to personal abuse at times.

I remember a game against a Spanish team(I think) years ago when a Rangers player helped a Spanish player to his feet by offering a hand after a foul. The Spanish player stood up and then dived back to the ground rolling about holding his head trying to get the Rangers player sent off. That was\is the worst piece of cheating I have seen. Thankfully the Ref saw what happened and gave the Spanish player yellow.

The goalkeeper feigning injury being one....

The other being Hayes taking a dive near the touchline in the second half when Holt was beside him, however the ref gave a free kick, but you can see he conned the ref,Holt went mad and Miller was laughing at the ref!, a dive none the less and with Holt being booked already could easily have been sent off!.
