I blame Ally McCoist.

I believe this is Neil's tenth ordering from the field? Really, it should be his eleventh. Remember ra Sellik's visit to Pittodrie to play ICT? Neil falling to the ground clutching his face after ICT player, Juanjo kneed him on the back of his thigh? Now, that was embarrassing!

We await the Scottish Government booking Glasgow University for a summit on sectarianism, that Jim Duffy is an anti-Irish bigot. We await several articles on depression, and no one will mention Neil's partnership with top Provo, Slab Murphy in a failed NI land deal.

Situation, no change.

Neil Lennon insists he is innocent after bitter bust-up with Morton boss Jim Duffy

The Hibernian manager blames his Cappielow counterpart for astonishing scenes at Easter Road

Neil Lennon says his conscience is clear as he blamed Jim Duffy for last night’s shameful Easter Road touchline bust-up.

The warring managers had to be separated as a mass brawl broke out at the end of last night’s goalless draw.

But Hibs boss Lennon says he was innocent as Duffy and his No.2 Craig McPherson invaded his dugout when all hell broke loose after a shocking tackle by Morton sub Kudus Oyenuga.

The Morton man saw red for his lunge on Jordon Forster but not before he went down, appearing to feign a headbutt by Darren McGregor, that also saw the Hibs skipper sent off.

After both managers were sent to the stand by ref Nick Walsh, Lennon later determined to clear his name to prevent comparisons being drawn with his touchline bust-up with Ally McCoist at an Old Firm game in 2011.

He said: “My conscience is clear. Watch the video, I never left my technical area, I wasn’t on the pitch. All I did was shout at a player who tried to hurt one of my players, which I’ve every right to do.

“I don’t need to reproach any of my players or myself for what went on but as usual it will be all about me. It will be bad old Lenny. Lenny’s fault, Lenny started it, blah blah blah. All that rubbish.

“But what happened was the guy tried to break Jordon’s leg and then Darren goes over to him and he feigns a head butt by going down holding his face when there wasn’t any contact.

“The next thing I’ve got the Morton manager asking for a square go and I’m not going to back down. Then I’ve got the assistant manager and then their players. I didn’t react in any other way than any other manager would have after a tackle like that.

“Not only has he tried to break my player’s leg, he’s got my captain sent off too.

“When you’ve got a wave of people in your face for not doing anything wrong you’ll stand your ground.

“He’s come all the way from his technical area into mine. I didn’t do anything other than shout at his player. He would do the same thing if the shoe was on the other foot. I wasn’t starting it. But if it comes to blows it comes to blows.”

Thankfully, it didn’t spiral out of control but Duffy was equally defiant. He said: “There were no punches thrown. If I throw a punch you’ll know about it.

“It was a poor challenge by Kudus, dangerous and reckless – but let the ref deal with it. Unfortunately their bench reacted and then our bench reacted, including myself and the ref sent us to the stand.“I’ve never been sent to the stand, so it’s my first time – but it’s good to lose your virginity eventually.“I’ve never been in this situation before so I don’t know how it works. Maybe I should ask Lenny.”

SFA Compliance officer Tony McGlennan will study the video before disciplinary proceedings are launched against both clubs.

But Lennon has already vowed to appeal McGregor’s dismissal and insists it’s Morton who have the most to answer for.

He added: “If they throw the book at me then they throw the book at Jim, his assistant and Oyenuga because he started it all. It’s disgraceful behaviour from a professional footballer.”

HaHa . . Jim Duffy

"I am not going to get involved in a public debate with the Hibs manager, but what I would state is that I categorically, 100 per cent did not ask for a 'square go' or use anything even remotely like that term.

"Yes, I acted immaturely - but I'm not 12 years old."

Now, do we think that Lenno will get a sufficient ban for this? After his latest let off by the "compliance" officer I doubt it. It's so strange that he seems to be the common denominator in all these things. I take it the SNP will be having an enquiry into this shame game?

Jeez, no matter the subject on here some have to bring their political prejudices to the fore. It's like Kerrydale Street on here at times(allegedly).
