Rangers - Fake News Generator

Recommended Posts

You have to wonder - why bother ?

" A 19-year-old Rangers supporter who ran onto the snowy Somerset Park pitch on Sunday was the only fan arrested among the 9346-strong crowd.

He ran on from the Railway End as Rangers celebrated their sixth goal in the 6-1 Scottish Cup victory.

Police confirmed the teenager was arrested under the Offensive Behaviour at Football Act and was due to appear in court.

Rangers ace Kenny Miller helped Somerset stewards get him off the pitch. "

Sensational headline from the Record --

" SPFL face post-split fixture chaos as Rangers have already played rest of top six at home twice. "

CHAOS ? !!  They then go on to explain the history of the league -

" The SPFL are facing a post-split fixture headache if the top six remains as is.

Rangers will have played all five of their rivals in the top half of the Premiership twice at Ibrox this season.

But Graeme Murty’s side will be due two home
games after the split, which could force two teams to make a third trip to Govan.

The SPFL almost certainly won’t have an imbalance in the Old Firm derby meetings while Aberdeen would be outraged at the prospect of another Gers away game as they battle for second place.

As it stands that would leave Hearts, Kilmarnock and Hibs facing the prospect of a third Ibrox clash with the latter two the lowest ranked based on their final position last season.

Former Rangers boss Walter Smith hit out at the SPL in 2010, claiming the club had suffered a decade of unfair treatment when it came to post-split fixtures. "

Then comes the "excuser" --

"On seven occasions in the first 10 years of the format Gers played a top-six club away from home three times and only once at home, although in two of those seasons it was balanced out with three home games against another side."

Yeh, which home games against which sides ?

Tossers.

The 40-year-old was last seen around 1pm on Brighton Place, Glasgow, on the day he died and detectives are trying to trace his final movements.

Detective Chief Inspector Suzie Chow at the Major Investigations Team (West) said: “James has been the victim of a violent, and what we believe to be targeted, attack and as such it is vital that we trace the person or persons responsible.

“It is only by speaking to people who knew James, or knew of James, that we can begin to piece together his movements in the lead up to his death.

“We know that James was seen around 1pm on Brighton Place in Glasgow on the day he died so we are trying to gather information about his movements from then up until he was found around 10.20 pm that evening."

Officers are currently carrying out further forensic examinations as well as viewing CCTV footage and speaking to those in the community in an attempt to find out who James was with and what he was doing in the days leading up to his death.

Ms Chow is now seeking a person seen with James.

She added: “We are keen to speak to a man who was in the company of James on Brighton Place who is described as white, 5ft 8 or 9 inches, between 25 to 34 years old, clean shaven with short dirty fair hair. "He was wearing a Pringle-style long-sleeved jumper that was light blue or grey in colour with diamonds on the front and dark coloured trousers.

“We would encourage this man to come forward as he may have information that can help us in the investigation.

“Anyone who has any information on who this man is, or who seen James on, or on the lead up to, Friday, February 23 and has any information about this incident should come forward and contact us.”

Relatives are aware of the death and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Anyone with information should contact the Major Investigation Team at Osprey House via telephone number 101 quoting incident number 4468 of Friday, January 23 2018.

Alternatively calls can be made via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained.

multiple sites running the story on St. Johnstone goalkeeper claiming Rangers shouldn’t have got penalty / free kick. (You’re not going to see a more clear-cut penalty ever)

Is this further ramping up of pressure on referees to not give us decisions?

Every time we get a penalty there seems to be a controversy over nothing. Where are the media comments on Bates being kicked off the ball? Or the mystically disallowed goal?

Also, how is it that opposition players / managers can openly deride decisions for us yet escape censure?

Former Celtic hero Pierre van Hooijdonk has revealed he was sent razor blades in the post in Scotland and claimed someone spat in his face when he opened a door.

And the Dutch ace insisted he's never felt so unsafe as when he was in Glasgow.

The retired Holland international was a huge success for the Hoops in a controversial two-year spell from 1995 where he netted 52 goals for Celtic in 84 appearances, before leaving under a cloud to Nottingham Forest in a deal worth £4.5 million.

Now an agent and a TV analyst in his Dutch homeland, the 48-year-old has cranked up the heat ahead of this week's Old Firm showdown by revealing some of the treatment he received during his time at Celtic.

Van Hooijdonk was previewing the weekend game between two of his former clubs, NAC Breda and Feyenoord in Dutch publication BN DeStem, when he stated: "In Rotterdam there is no such rivalry with NAC at all. I myself never felt that rivalry. Not at NAC and not at Feyenoord.

"But at Celtic v Rangers though, when I went for lunch somewhere or stopped at a traffic light with a Rangers pub on the corner, I was insulted and the middle finger went up.

"I opened my door once and was spat on by someone who then ran away like a greyhound.

"I even had razor blades sent to me in an envelope. That was intense.

"There was hatred there and you could see it.

"Nowhere have I felt so unsafe as in Glasgow."

So we’ve had Agathe with death threats and driving to work in an armoured car and now Van Hooijdonk spat on in the face on his doorstep and sent razor blades yet there was no report of these incidents at the time.

You'd think Celtic were under a bit of pressure or something.

Also interesting to note that both of these stories originated in the Daily Rhecord...
