We were having a dismal domestic campaign but Eck got the tactics spot on in Europe and, with a bit of luck as well, we somehow sneaked a draw with a late McCormack goal which sent us wild and put us in pole position to qualify. The Porto fans actually applauded us (fans) out the stadium as we sang non-stop all night. On leaving the ground we had to go through an underpass to get out, the noise underneath that was incredible. The match took place in late November from memory and while Baltic at home, we sat in a courtyard bar the night before the game till midnight in short sleeves and had the sunburn to go along with the sore heads next morning. 0 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
