A POSSIL man sang songs which made reference to the IRA and wished the death of ex-Rangers player Nacho Novo in a city centre police station, a court has heard.

Michael Daniel Boden, 21, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court for sentencing after kicking off on October 15, 2016.

The court heard that cops were dealing with another incident in Saracen Street when Boden acted in an aggressive manner towards them. He admitted that he shouted, swore and uttered threats of violence to the police officers. He said: “Yous are a f****** disgrace. F****** pigs. I’ll get you next time c****.”

Police officers left and when they returned, he kicked off again. He was arrested and at Stewart Street police station, he admitted he struggled violently with two officers.

He also plead guilty to uttering comments of a homophobic and sectarian nature.

The court heard a spit hood was applied as Boden repeatedly spat, which hit a female custody officer in the face.

Boden, of Glendarvel Gardens, also sang songs which made reference to the IRA and wished the death of the ex-Rangers star Nacho Novo.

Boden’s defence agent said her client’s difficulties arose from the area he grew up in which has frequent disorder. He will complete 200 hours of unpaid work and supervision for a year.

So that's breach of the peace, threats, sectarian breach of the peace, homophobic breach of the peace, resisting arrest and police assault and he gets community service ?

WTF is going on ?
