theboyharley 5
Ive always rated Hemdani, it took him a bit of time before he settled properly and he has been moved about a lot but hes been our most consistent player this year and rarely loses possession. A pity Smith got injured as he too could of been contending for both the Rangers and SPL awards.
Gribz 1,226
Yeah, from a Rangers point of view Hemdani has been the most consistant. Ferguson and Hutton have stood out when they have been MOTM recently but they both had poor starts.
Davy 0
If we look at things honestly then there is only one Rangers player who maybe should be mentioned and that is Hemdani. Player of the year is not only about scoring goals it is about regularly putting in good performances in all aspects of the game and Boyd has not done that.Ask any top footballer what the hardest part of the game is?..He will tell you it is putting the ball in the net in open play.Boyd has done that in a regular basis for us and Killie.... FFS!!! they gave it to that fat bassa Hartson for exactly what Boyd is doing..Hemdani should be up there as well, but he won't be..The Jap will get it for that free kick.
fraser54 0
One player who should be in with a shout is Lee Naylor, he has had a solid season for Celtic, Hemdani should be in the running as well.
calscot 0
If Naylor or Hemdani get the POTY then it's a poor indictment of the rest of the candidates. While both have been consistently good they haven't exactly enspired a new generation of young players. I would rather there was someone who had been consistently outstanding. Many people will assume that a Celtic player will get it this season seeing as they are 13pts ahead, but to be honest that's more due to PLG's poor grasp of the Scottish game as Celtic have been mostly mediocre in the SPL, if not a bit lucky too. Rangers under Smith have the best record in the league but his team have hardly set the heather alight either. So no-one should get the accolade by virtue of the team they are playing for. Players like Naismith, Stokes (if he had stayed) and Brown are worth a shout. Although Boyd should be top of the list of strikers, his scoring record is so far ahead that no other forward can touch him. However he's still not exactly worthy.
