Rousseau 9,886 Posted March 15, 2017 Share Posted March 15, 2017 (edited) I'd like to see the lad given a chance; we've had him written off since he arrived, but he's only played 2 games for us -- bad team performances at that. He's only 23, playing League Two last year and is now playing in League One for a side in the play-offs, fighting for automatic promotion. Perhaps we could have held onto him as we could have done with another defensive midfielder over the past few months. FYI, it's a myth that he's a defensive midfielder. I'm not sure where that came from, but it appears to be a view held by most supporters speak to. He's actually a very attacking minded player and has never been regarded as a holding/defensive player. He was sent out on loan because we already had Holt, Halliday, Windass and Forrester to play those advanced roles.
