TRAINING | Caixinha's First Session

You can see a bit of the Tactical Periodisation; In amongst the fitness elements there is always ball work and game scenarios included.

Running round the track is long gone. Almost all training is now done with the ball.

Hope he sees a lot in Joe Dodoo and gives the lad a chance soon, if not then it must be he simply isn't good enough.

We really are crying out for a striker...then again there's hat-trick hero Joe Garner I suppose.

I'm yet to be convinced by either!, although in Dodoos' defence he has not had enough match time!, maybe the new manager can bring the best out of all the players?, he will have to for the rest of this season

We have a lot of strikers who look capable of playing in a 442 but not many other systems. From what we have seen, a front 2 of Garner (puting himself about, good in the air) and Dodoo (good at finding the net) might make a surprising pairing.

Enjoyed watching that - wish they do it a bit more often.

Certainly a high temp and lots of hard work which is what we need to see. Attitude from the players looked good as well but I guess that's to be expected when a new manager arrives. It's often maintaining that intensity which is the hardest thing - especially if results aren't good.
