Darthter 542
I think Miller brings a lot to the team....as a personality/presence. I've never been convinced of his scoring etc, but I do think he brings a good degree of leadership etc & would make a good addition to Pedro's team.

JFK-1 1,693
I would like Miller to be tried out in a coaching role. He's a stable mature character which we saw evidence of with our own eyes when the video came out of him being harassed by some grunting ned in a supermarket. He walked away with not a word and that's what we expect of our players unlike say Waghorn who was so easily wound up by a schoolboy. And i'm not taking a dig at Waghorn for that because I personally would find it difficult to just walk away from either of these two incidents. The point is that Miller did not and that's the type of character we want making an impression on current players. JFK-1 1,693
As we quietly push the incident at Da Luciano under the table. Don't think that can be compared with the other two. The restaurant deal involved his wife being assaulted. That's something no one can walk away from.
ian1964 10,777
Peter Lovenkrands in frame for No 3 role under Pedro Caixinha at Rangers New boss Caixinha wants a coach with local knowledge to help him at Rangers Lovenkrands remains close to the club he played for between 2000 and 2006 Former players Barry Ferguson and John Brown also in the frame for No 3 role* Peter Lovenkrands has emerged as a shock contender for the Rangers No 3 role – with the former Ibrox winger locked in a three-way fight with Barry Ferguson and John Brown. New boss Pedro Caixinha has identified the appointment of a coach with local knowledge as being essential to making a success of the job. Lovenkrands, 39, remains close to the club having played for Rangers between 2000 and 2006 and is a regular contributor to its in-house media. The Dane, who also played for Schalke, Birmingham and Newcastle, is due to meet the Ibrox hierarchy this week to make his pitch. But it seems he faces an uphill battle to convince the key decision makers of his merits with Ferguson very much the front-runner. Former Rangers captain Ferguson left his position as manager of Clyde last month and was immediately linked with a return to the club where he came through as a boy. Stressing that he wasn’t ready for the managerial post but would ‘walk back’ to Ibrox, he could hardly have made his case for the current vacancy any clearer. Brown, who also managed Clyde as well as Dundee, offers vast experience in the game and was part of the side which famously won nine straight league titles under Graeme Souness and Walter Smith. It’s believed that the three are being interviewed this week with a decision expected over the course of the next few days. Chairman Dave King, who flew in from South Africa to meet with Caixinha yesterday, is likely to have a big say on the appointment together with the Portuguese manager, managing director Stewart Robertson and head of football administration Andrew Dickson. Meanwhile, midfielder Niko Kranjcar insists he is eyeing a return to full fitness in time for pre-season after his ‘nightmare’ knee injury. The Croatian ruptured a cruciate ligament in October and has progressed to doing fitness work outside as well as his gym rehab. The 32-year-old told Rangers TV: ‘The recovery process has been a nightmare, this is definitely the worst injury I have ever had, the longest I had been out before was probably two months and this is between six and nine months. ‘It is a long road and it is quite lonely. It has its ups and downs, the easiest thing to do is always to give up but once you do start doing your rehab I think there is always a voice in your head telling you to get through it. It is hard, it is not easy. ‘Obviously there are days when you watch a game of football and you’re not involved so it is hard and you just wish you could play.‘Touch wood, come May, hopefully I can join in with the lads and do a full session but the goal is to be fit for next season.‘You have to be patient with these injuries and I think it is really important to have it 100 per cent before I start doing any harder work.’ Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4340696/Peter-Lovenkrands-frame-No-3-role-Rangers.html#ixzz4c6ZghTfE Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook
pete 2,499
He would be my favourite. I like listening to him when commentating on RTV. I am not sure he is local though.
Gribz 953
That is utterly bizarre. I dreamt Lovenkrands got the position last night. Would actually be a good appointment.
