[FT] Celtic 1 - 1 Rangers (Hill 87)

Either he has no knowledge of football or I have no knowledge of football.:D To be honest I can;t remember him passing it often to a Rangers player maybe I am too critical.

I wouldn't say he was MOTM but he had a decent game all round

For most of the match, Alfie Conn's pace had McNeil demented.

From what I remember Alfie was outstanding that day bare in mind I've a bit of a romantic view of following the Rangers back then as I was only 10 also was the first game I ever knowingly seen my Da drunk at. . I'm sure that season they were going for a treble. As far as they were concerned it was a foregone conclusion but Hibs beat us in the League Cup Semi and beat them 2-1 in the final and that was the end of the double/treble talk. They also lost to Craigs Dundee in the final of the League cup the following year.

EDIT: Just so I know I'm no havering that was the winter of discontent with all the power cuts etc?

Did anyone else see the incident at the start, just prior to when Sinclair ran the ball over the bye line when Lennon cut across a Rangers defender and threw himself to the ground looking for a free kick ? Just noticed that while watching the BBC highlights.

The clip previous showing Jaws cup winner unfortunately cuts before showing McNeil complaining for something, anything to chalk the goal off. He's totally bemused and obviously expected something/anything from the referee. :bouncy2:
