Souleymane Coulibaly set to quit Al Ahly after only ONE month and is left in tears

Recommended Posts

The former Kilmarnock favourite joined the Egyptians in a £1million deal in January but was left heartbroken after being told being he would be left out of the squad and his agent is poised for talks.

Former Kilmarnock ace Souleymane Coulibaly looks set to be on his way out of Egyptian giants Al Ahly without playing a game and less than a month after joining them for £1 million.

The Ivory Coast hitman was a huge hit in the Premiership this season after netting 11 goals for the Ayrshire club.

Kilmarnock accepted a bumper offer from Cairo club Al Ahly for their top scorer at the end of last month.

However, the move has turned into a nightmare for the 22-year-old.

He's yet to play a single minute for the Egyptian champions amid concerns about his fitness and state of mind.

Egyptian press have revealed he reportedly burst into tears in front of his team-mates when he learned he wasn't in a match day squad again.

Al Ahly have also been strongly criticised for splashing out the huge transfer fee without actually watching him play - they only saw the former Spurs ace on video.

And his agent has already had showdown talks with the club about Coulibaly's lack of appearances.

Now reports in Africa have suggested Al Ahly have had enough and will put him on the transfer list.

That would be of huge interest to cash-strapped Killie, who are due 25 per cent for any sell-on fee.

Al Ahly general manager Hossam Al-Badri would only state: "The coaches have decided that Coulibaly is not ready for the first team yet."He is not at the required technical or physical level."

The player himself has now tweeted with a link to the story rubishing it. Surprise, surprise, the Daily Record are making things up again.

Aye!, the record printing lies again!, it's a comic!, and are free to print whatever they want!
