Club 1872 Statement on Members’ Concerns

20 February, 2017

As the fifth largest shareholder in RIFC, Club 1872 is committed to ensuring that our members’ voices are heard on all issues affecting the Club and its supporters. Members have contacted us in recent days and weeks to express concerns around some such issues.

We have now had the opportunity to discuss these concerns with Stewart Robertson, who is keen to continue this dialogue in a further meeting with Club 1872 Directors. We will use this meeting to continue to share with the Club our members’ concerns around the nature of communication between the Club and the wider fan-base, and how the Club intends to resolve the management situation and other issues. The Club 1872 Board appreciates the significance of these matters, and we will approach all discussions with the Club on this basis.

Until they have the meeting I'm not sure what else they can say. This was just an announcement to demonstrate they are doing something. Would be great to see if they get any more clarity than we have at the moment. I'd hope not, after all it shouldn't take Club 1872 to get involved before the board realises we are concerned.

Proactive ? Warburton' been gone 10 days so hardly pro-active. And their statement is much of nothing. Standard template stuff

''We have now had the opportunity to discuss these concerns with Stewart Robertson, who is keen to continue this dialogue in a further meeting with Club 1872 Directors. They are saying they have already had discussion with Stewart Robertson, I don't know, but you may know iwhat was discussed? But let's say they discussed Warburton's resignation and his replacement, would that not come under being pro-active? It's not a great statement, I just don't feel the need to complain about it .
