So we give up the chance of getting a 7 figure sum because we're happy to see them go? Seriously?

 

That appears to be the implication from the statement is it not?

 

Then you have to look to the negotiating skills and motivation of the people in the boardroom.

 

You and I might have been looking for at least the value of their wages for the rest of this season, possibly more; since if they were determined to leave we are holding the aces; but it seems that the Board were so keen to see the back of them that they were happy to let them go for nothing.

Well, unless they knew somesuch would happen in advance, why would they draw up a "strategy"? And even if they knew it, are we to expect that they find someone within a week that fits the bill?

 

It's the job of the Board indeed their fiscal duty to plan for all eventualities. In football losing a manager is a regular occurrence, so having a replacement in mind even on a temporary basis should be par for the course.

You can't draw up a strategy when the board are split and have serious issues with each other

 

Are you suggesting that because the board 'are split' is the reason they waited 4 days to tell us all MW & Co had handed in their resignations and that they have been accepted?
