Agree BH and think that the stats come from wearing a device under their shirts that can measure work rate.

 

Point is that in a game you can't wear anything that could harm you (say if the ball were to hit you on the device you are wearing) or another player if there were to be a collision; that's why I don't understand how they can measure the distance in a real game.

They wer them every game , you can see it when they take their tops off , it's common amongst all top teams
